I bought a pair of mustard colored tights for theme dance this week (the theme is Disney, my costume is awesome, pics on that later) and I have fallen in love with them!  I want want want to replicate this outfit (credits to Keiko Lynn on weardrobe), but the blazer will have to be substituted for a cardigan until I get the nerve to buy this blazerish jacket from Express, which I have been eyeing for forever.  I’m holding off because I think it might go on sale day after Thanksgiving and I can get it when I’m Collierville home, but it will be the best for France next semester where there’ll be temperate Fallish weather, my favorite.

Fitting to be listening to French band Phoenix while I work on my Honors College Study Abroad Grant for France app.  Their new album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, is completely flawless— highly recommended. This song is called 1901.  (Using Vimeo instead of Youtube because I couldn’t embed the actual music video, and fortunately, they sound just as good live.)

Every day of our Christian experience should be a day of relating to God on the basis of His grace alone. Your worst days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God’s grace. And your best days are never so good that you are beyond the need of God’s grace.

– Jerry Bridges

Today marks the end of Bikes Blues and Barbecue, a weekend long motorcycle rally that I’m convinced only takes place in Arkansas because we don’t have helmet laws.  It also marks the first night I should be able to go to sleep without the rumbling sounds of motorcycles outside of my window.  Dear bikers, it was a good ride, but now it’s time to say goodbye.

Me being a child of the 90’s, I think I will always have a soft spot in my heart for boy bands.

Cool! Terra Cycle, all products made from 100% garbage.  Can I just cut out the middle man and make Clif Bar bows for all my Christmas presents this year?

Cooper Young Festival 4 Mile Race!

I just found out my cousin Kimberly has leave next weekend (she just got back home from Iraq) and will be going to Memphis.  Since I have the sweetest class schedule ever (no Friday classes and no class Monday until 2:30), I’m going home for the weekend to see Kim and then we’re both, along with my Dad, running in the Cooper Young Festival run!  It’s going to be the best t-shirt yet, it’s a long sleeve technical tee with artwork and I am so excited!  And don’t worry, I made my Dad sign up for a small t-shirt so he can pick up his race packet early and make sure I get one.  Smalls always run out fast, it’s kind of a big deal to me.
